The work they are doing at Kiva Systems is pretty amazing. I first heard about them a few months ago, and was happy to find out they're based in North Reading, just north of Boston. Kiva Systems designs and builds warehouse management systems for distributors interested in cutting costs. The systems involve a small army of 18" tall robots, and the scalability is impressive.
